Fixitgroup LLC (“Fixit,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a technology platform that facilitates connections between individuals seeking repair and home improvement services (“Clients”) and independent contractors offering such services (“Contractors”) (collectively, “Users”). This Privacy Policy describes Fixit's practices regarding the collection, use, disclosure, and protection of information in connection with the Fixit mobile application and related website located at fixitexperts.com (the “Platform”).

By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, you should not access or use the Platform.

Information We Collect

Fixit collects information directly from Users, automatically through the operation of the Platform, and from third parties that support Platform functionality.

Information Provided by Users

  • Clients may provide identifying and contact information, including name, email address, phone number, optional physical address, and project-related details submitted through the Platform.
  • Contractors may provide identifying and contact information, business location, identification documents, optional licensing information, and optional professional or social media profile links.

Users are responsible for ensuring that all information provided to Fixit is accurate, current, and complete.

Information Collected Automatically

When Users access or use the Platform, Fixit may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, interaction data, and general location information derived from IP address or device-based services, such as GPS, where enabled.

Information from Third Parties

Fixit may receive information from third-party service providers that support Platform operations, including payment processors, mapping and location services, analytics providers, hosting providers, and security vendors. Any review of identification or licensing documents is limited to basic completeness and does not constitute authentication, verification, or background screening.

Sensitive Information and Minors

Fixit may collect limited sensitive information, such as government-issued identification or professional licensing information from Contractors, solely for Platform-related purposes. Fixit does not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under eighteen (18) years of age. If Fixit becomes aware that such information has been collected, it will take reasonable steps to delete it in accordance with applicable law.

Use of Information

Fixit uses personal information for legitimate business and operational purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform and its functionality;
  • Facilitate connections between Clients and Contractors, including location-based matching where enabled;
  • Process subscription payments and manage billing through third-party payment processors;
  • Communicate with Users regarding account activity, Platform updates, and support inquiries;
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of Fixit's Terms and Conditions, including, in rare circumstances, limited access to in-app communications by authorized personnel solely for these purposes. Fixit does not engage in routine, continuous, or generalized monitoring of user communications, and any such access is discretionary, limited in scope, and undertaken only as reasonably necessary for platform integrity, safety, or legal compliance;
  • Conduct internal analytics and performance assessments; and
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations and enforce Fixit's rights, policies, and agreements.

Your Data is Not Sold

Fixit does not sell personal information and does not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.

Disclosure of Information

Fixit may disclose information as described below and only to the extent reasonably necessary to operate and support the Platform.

Disclosure to Other Users

Limited profile information may be made visible to other Users to facilitate interactions through the Platform. Fixit does not disclose Users' direct contact information unless Users elect to share such information with one another.

Disclosure to Service Providers

Fixit may disclose information to third-party service providers that perform services on Fixit's behalf, including payment processing, hosting, analytics, mapping, security, and customer support. Such service providers are authorized to use personal information solely to perform services for Fixit and pursuant to contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations.

Legal and Compliance Disclosures

Fixit may disclose information where required or permitted by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or where Fixit reasonably believes disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Fixit, Users, or others, or to enforce its agreements and policies.

Business Transactions

Information may be disclosed or transferred in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or a portion of Fixit's business or assets, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Aggregated or De-Identified Information

Fixit may use or disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual for analytics, research, or business purposes.

Data Security

Fixit maintains reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures are implemented in light of the nature of the information and the risks associated with its processing.

No method of transmission or storage is entirely secure. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and securing the devices used to access the Platform. Fixit shall not be liable for security incidents resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including actions of third parties or Users.

In the event of a data security incident involving personal information, Fixit will provide notice and take such actions as required by applicable law.

Privacy Rights

Depending on a User's state of residence and applicable law, Users may have certain rights regarding their personal information, which may include:

  • The right to request access to personal information
  • The right to request correction of personal information
  • The right to request deletion of personal information
  • The right to opt out of certain data uses where applicable
  • The right not to be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights

Where required by applicable law, Fixit recognizes Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signals.

Requests to exercise applicable privacy rights may be submitted through the Platform or by contacting Info@fixitexperts.com. Fixit may take reasonable steps to verify identity prior to responding and may deny requests where permitted by law.

This Section applies solely to residents of the State of California.

Within the preceding twelve (12) months, Fixit may have collected the following categories of personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act:

Fixit collects personal information directly from Users, automatically through Platform use, and from third-party service providers, and uses and discloses such information for the business purposes described in this Policy. Fixit does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Fixit does not knowingly sell or share personal information of individuals under sixteen (16) years of age.

California residents may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information; to opt out of sales or sharing where applicable; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and to not be discriminated against for exercising rights. Data Retention and Transfers

Fixit retains personal information for only so long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by applicable law. Personal information may be stored and processed in the United States. By using the Platform, Users consent to such processing and storage.

Fixit uses cookies and similar technologies to support authentication, analytics, performance, and Platform functionality. Users may manage cookie preferences through browser or device settings, though disabling cookies may affect Platform features.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

Fixit may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be effective upon posting or as otherwise required by law. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
